Nic has now entered the stage of his life where he wants to do everything himself. And I mean EVERYTHING. If you even try to help him out you hear "Nooooooooooo.......I want to do it!" Which can become a bit annoying when you are trying to get out of the house quickly or you just want to pick up some bananas and a carton of milk from the store. Activities such as these become much more drawn out and stressful. But there ARE many cool things that he can do on his own now. He can wash his own hands in the sink (after I turn on the water) and dry them, he can pour his chocolate syrup into his cup for chocolate milk (I draw the line at pouring his own milk at this point), he climbs into his car seat, he climbs into his booster seat at the table, he climbs out of his crib (climbing seems like a recurring theme), he throws things away in the garbage, he waters my plants, helps wash the cars, takes off his pants and shoes, I really could go on and on here. The climbing out of the crib thing just started happening the last few days. We really have put off buying him a big boy bed for too long. It is time to shop. And I bet he will want to pick one out. All by himself.
