Happy 2nd Birthday Nicolas!

Our baby boy is 2 today! And right on cue he threw a "terrible twos" tantrum in the middle of Old Navy this morning. he he.


We had his family/friends birthday party last weekend so Eric and I are going to take him to Cabela's tonight to look at the animals and the fish and then get pizza! (As Nic would say "Pizza, YUM!")



This morning I sang him the Happy Birthday song. Afterwards he said "and now I blow" and he blew out imaginary candles. We may have to get the little man a little cake for tonight too! His cake last weekend was a John Deere tractor cake. He loved the tractor and basically "plowed" his cake all over his plate.



We love you so much Nicolas! This has been the best 2 years of our lives and you are the reason for that!

Beloved Brody dog

We got the call today that I have been dreading/anticipating. Brody's ashes were ready for us to take home. Eric just got home with him. He is in a little box and then they put the box into a little velvet bag that says "Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge". If you haven't read the Rainbow Bridge here it is. It has always made me cry, even more so now. We are planning on spreading our little Brody at the cabins that he loved to go to so much. It has been a little over a week and it IS getting easier but we just miss him so much.
