Knee update

Surgery went well on Monday. They got my knee all cleaned up and now it just needs to heal. I have to keep it elevated for a few days and take it easy for a while. The pain is well controlled with Vicodin but it really makes me sleepyyyyyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Ouch!

Well, the doc says SURGERY is needed to fix my knee. So Monday I go in and have arthroscopic surgery and hope for the best. Then I am supposed to rest it for at least a week. Ummm, that may not be easy what with my crazy one year old and all. But my wonderful family and friends are going to help me out in my time of need. :) Wish me luck!

I haven't got time for the pain

I am a bit agitated this evening. Tomorrow I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon to see what will be done with my knee. Uugh. Since before Christmas my knee has been swollen and sore and sometimes a bit numb. The MRI says I have a tear in the cartiledge behind my knee and also a 4.5 cm long cyst hanging around in there too. So tomorrow I find out if I need surgery or hopefully something less invasive. I just want it to get better because I am tired of the constant pain and I would like to be able to bend down again. That is something that is crucial to a mother of a one year old. :)

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I have been really bad about blogging lately. And I can't even say I have been super busy, but oh well.

Eric and I had a little getaway this weekend up at Superior Shores in Two Harbors MN. It was so COLD that we stayed indoors as much as possible. We did walk out to the lake on Tuesday, but went back in about 20 minutes later as our noses were frozen and we could no longer feel our legs. But is was refreshing! ha ha.

We left Nicolas with Grandma and Grandpa Casperson and it sounds like he had so much fun! He really didn't care that we were gone at all! I, on the other hand, was freaking out a bit the day we left but was able to relax for the rest of the trip. At least until this morning, when as soon as I was up and showered, I was packing things up and herding Eric out the door. :)

It sure was nice to spend some time alone with my husband. He is a lot of fun to be with and we don't get to spend as much time alone together as we used to!
