Definitely NOT the Love Bug

I bought Nicolas this remote control car today from Target. When we got home I was all excited and thought he would really love it. I wrestled it out of its plastic twist ties, put in a few batteries, turned on the car and put it on the floor. He seemed to like it. It made cool car noises. Then......I pressed the remote control button. All hell broke loose. At first I thought he was laughing, but then noticed he was literally FREAKING out. I have never seen him really scared before but for some reason, this crazy little car scared the heck out of him. So I quick turned it off, gave hugs and kisses and calmed him down. Until Eric got home and decided to try it out for himself. Same response. I think we will put the race car away for a while and try again some other day.

Happy Birthday to me!!

Last weekend Nic, Eric and I went to Fred Thomas Resort in Birchwood WI with Angie, Steve and Alison for a fall getaway. It was a little past peak up there and a lot of leaves had blown away because of the high winds, but it was still beautiful. The kids seemed to enjoy each others company and played really well together. Nothing is more entertaining these days then watching two little ones chase each other around the room laughing like crazy. Sunday morning I woke up a bit crabby from lack of sleep (Nic didn't sleep too well Sat night) but I tried to be the happy birthday girl anyway. 34 kinda snuck up on me. Where does the time go? Since I had some stuff to do Sunday night after we got home, Eric is going to take me out for dinner tonight at a new Mexican restaurant in Albertville. I hope it's yummy!

Update: Eric had to work late yesterday so we never made it to the restaurant. But we are going to try again later in the week. Plus I have my b-day celebration this coming Sunday with Eric's family so my big day just keeps going and going and going..............

Jenny Ebel aka "Zellner" (to which she will probably always be known!) brought a ton of old pics to Angie's party on Saturday. Here is a cute one she had doubles of that I was able to take home. I am thinking this is from 1998 due to my hair. I can usually tell when a picture was taken because of my ever changing hairstyle/color. :) Love you Zell!
