Eric, Nic and I returned home yesterday from our annual trip to
Bluefin Bay! We, along with our favorite travel companions Angie, Steve and Alison, go every year the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. It is a much anticipated trip I can tell you! This year we had a 3 bedroom corner unit right on the lake. #9 if anyone wants to check it out! So nice. It was a bit cold up there, but we have gotten used to that. Nicolas went swimming in the pool for the first time too! He wasn't scared at all! The only bad thing that happened was that
My Sister's Place was closed on Sunday. Usually we go to Grand Marais on Saturday, walk around town, do a little shopping etc, etc. This year we decided to go on Sunday because the weather was going to be nicer. Well, live and learn I guess. Now we will have to wait another WHOLE YEAR before we can have the best burger ever. Except for Eric because he sucks and he gets to go there twice in July. Jerk. :) After all the fun and games, sadly it was time to go home. The ride home was a bit crazy. Nicolas was fine until after we had stopped for lunch at Little Angie's in Duluth. He decided he did not want to be strapped into that restricting car seat and proceeded to SCREAMMMMMMM his lungs out. Our truck was packed tight so I could not get into the backseat to sit with him, so we had to pull off on the next available exit ramp. I changed a dirty diaper, took off his hot sweatshirt, Eric repacked the truck so I could sit next to Nic and away we went. When we finally got home I noticed that my arms seemed a bit, shall I say, bluish. What the heck? The sweatshirt I had purchased the day before (I'm wearing it in the picture) from the Bluefin gift shop had turned me into a Smurf. I had seen the washing instructions informing me that I needed to wash the shirt before wearing, but I thought, what's gonna happen. Well, blue armpits is what happens. And also blue tummy, chest and back. Need I say more?
