Chicken, Chicken, Who's got the Chicken?

Eric, Nicolas and I went to Target today to buy some groceries. In the deli section we spotted some yummy Chicken Asada and thought that would be good for supper tonight! After filling our cart with items we needed and not so needed we headed to the registers. The first register we were at broke down in the middle of ringing our stuff up, so we had to move 2 registers down to finish the transaction. When we got home Eric was putting things away when I heard a "F***ing A!" come from the kitchen. Our chicken was missing! So, I called Target.

Me: Yes, I was at your store today and I think the lady at the register forgot to give us some of our items that we paid for.
Girl in Guest Services: OK, what were the items you are missing?
Me: Umm, some chicken breasts and some Mexican style Chicken.
Girl: Some Chicken?
Me: Yep. We had to switch registers and I think it was forgotten at the old register.
Girl: Are you sure about that?
Me: Yea, I am pretty sure.
Girl: Well, I can have security check the cameras and see where the chicken went and we can call you back.
Me: Oh, OK. (In my mind I am thinking that this is a little extreme for two packs of chicken, but if thats what they need to do so be it.)

1 hour later Target security calls me back saying that indeed the chicken was left at the old register and that I can come to Customer Service to pick up some new ones.

I arrive at Customer Service and say to the girl behind the desk "Hi, I'm here for the chicken." Thankfully she knew what I was talking about and I was on my way home with our missing supper.

It was delicious. :)

Oh yes, they gave me new chicken. I made sure of that! Or today I would be writing about my terrible case of food poisoning. ;)

Yes, my exact prediction would be that you got up to Target and they tried to give you the old stuff. FUNNY! ~Danielle the Great
