Hola Nna!!

I met my friend Ann for lunch today at Don Pablos. I haven't seen Ann for almost 2 years and it was such a treat to see her! She looked, as always, wonderful! Oh the crazy times we had together! Too many memories! This was the first time she saw Nic too and he was quite the flirt! He was also quite the handful. I think the days of a nice quiet lunch/dinner with the little one is over. The gravity game was in full force, that's for sure. He also does not want to stay in one place for a very long time! All in all, it was a really nice afternoon. I missed my friend and it was so nice to see her again.

Oh yea in case your wondering, Nna is Ann spelled backwards. Its a high school thing. :)

Bowl-a-rama part II

People love to bowl, especially me! Yesterday I bowled a 133, 141 and a 153! Since I have only subbed 3 times this year, I joked to the others that Nicolas and I go to the bowling alley during the day each week and practice. My thought is that hauling around a 17 pound kid all day is helping me build up my arm strength. Just a guess. :) Next season I plan on having my very own ball!

Nicolas Bjorn is 6 months old today!

Wow! Time sure flies when you have a baby! Nicolas is 6 months old today and he also had his 6 month check-up at the doctors. He weighs 17.5 pds and is 27 1/2" long! Tall boy! 90% for height. I think he is taking after my side of the family in the height department. The doctor says he is a healthy baby boy! Now we can start giving him fruits and veggies to eat! He has been eating rice cereal the last few months, but I'm sure the taste is not too exciting. Kinda bland. I bought a book called 'Blender Baby Food' and I am going to try and make homemade baby food! The stuff they sell in the store is just fine too, and I know I will buy it, but I thought I would try making my own and see how it turns out. I'm really excited about it! I got a new blender for Christmas and everything!

Two times now, Eric and I have seen Nic scoot across the room to get something that interested him! On Sunday it was the newspaper, and now today it was a DVD! I am thinking in a few weeks he will be crawling all around this house and we will be in big trouble. :) We have not been very good at baby-proofing our house yet. I think we have some work to do!

Idol chatter

Well, Looks like Eric is still in the running for the big bucks. His idol Bucky did not get voted off last night though I believe his days are numbered (sorry honey). I am sure Connie was THRILLED that it was little Kevin that got the boot! I know I didn't shed any tears.

Too many toys??

Nicolas just can not decide which toy he would like to play with, so he will play with all of them!

Bowl-a-rama!!

I bowled the best game I've ever bowled tonight! First game: 125, Second game: 141, Last game: 112. My average went up to 126! Whoo-hoo! Yea, I know that these are pretty average scores at best, but for me they are awesome! My friend Adele was on fire as well, bowling a 200 in one game though everyone said it was the White Russian doing all the work. :)

Eric is in a Fantasy American Idol league. Yes, they really do have one of those. Unfortunetely his Idol is Bucky Covington. I came home tonight and Eric says "Bucky sang 'Oh Boy' and he Oh Sucked". My guess is Eric will be out of the running by tomorrow's elimination ceremony. Oh well. GO CHRIS!!

Chicken, Chicken, Who's got the Chicken?

Eric, Nicolas and I went to Target today to buy some groceries. In the deli section we spotted some yummy Chicken Asada and thought that would be good for supper tonight! After filling our cart with items we needed and not so needed we headed to the registers. The first register we were at broke down in the middle of ringing our stuff up, so we had to move 2 registers down to finish the transaction. When we got home Eric was putting things away when I heard a "F***ing A!" come from the kitchen. Our chicken was missing! So, I called Target.

Me: Yes, I was at your store today and I think the lady at the register forgot to give us some of our items that we paid for.
Girl in Guest Services: OK, what were the items you are missing?
Me: Umm, some chicken breasts and some Mexican style Chicken.
Girl: Some Chicken?
Me: Yep. We had to switch registers and I think it was forgotten at the old register.
Girl: Are you sure about that?
Me: Yea, I am pretty sure.
Girl: Well, I can have security check the cameras and see where the chicken went and we can call you back.
Me: Oh, OK. (In my mind I am thinking that this is a little extreme for two packs of chicken, but if thats what they need to do so be it.)

1 hour later Target security calls me back saying that indeed the chicken was left at the old register and that I can come to Customer Service to pick up some new ones.

I arrive at Customer Service and say to the girl behind the desk "Hi, I'm here for the chicken." Thankfully she knew what I was talking about and I was on my way home with our missing supper.

It was delicious. :)

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Eric left me a note this morning. It said "Mom-I'm Irish so dress me in green today. -Nicolas

I guess I probably would have forgot to do that since I have absolutely no Irish in my oh so mixed up heritage. Eric IS Irish and he wore a green shirt today. He is also Catholic and since the Pope says its ok, gets to eat meat today (even though he really doesn't follow that rule during lent much). The funny thing is, we are going to have salmon for dinner tonight. :)

Awww......too cute

Best Friends Forever!

First posting! Yea!!

Hey everyone! I just created this site so we can let everyone know how things are going around here! It seems like everyone has a blog now these days, so why can't we? :) I will try to post messages and pics as often as possible, I promise!

We were supposed to get a BIG snowstorm today, but I guess that didn't happen. Got a bit of snow to shovel but thats about it. Spring will be here soon thank God. I can't wait to take Nicolas out for a spin around the block in his stroller. We have a nice park down the street that we are excited to play in! I am really enjoying the stay-at-home mom gig, but I can not WAIT for winter to be over. I am running out of indoor activities for me and Nic to do!

This weekend Eric and I are planning to paint our bedroom. I still need to buy paint. :) That will be me and Nic's outing for tomorrow!

Gotta go take care of my little man!
